Group Ministry Evanston
Alliance Church
September
2006 So
what does a CARE Group look
like? A CARE Group is
made up of between twelve to sixteen adults. Children are welcome. The purpose of the group is
to provide a setting for genuine caring and deep commitment to the group
and the church. A CARE Group is
not a “clique.” It is not self-serving. The CARE
Group is meant to be an outreach arm of the church, a fellowship
for believers and a place to nurture new believers. Just as a human cell
is designed to divide, the CARE
Group should be designed to divide into other groups. As God
brings in new members, the group leader should look for potential new
leaders for future groups.
